What Is CMC
CMC full name is carboxymethyl cellulose.
Cellulose undergoes carboxymethylation, it produces carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Aqueous solutions of CMC exhibit properties such as thickening, film formation, adhesion,moisture retention,colloidal stabilization, emulsification, and suspension. It is widely used in industries including petroleum, food, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and papermaking, making it one of the most important cellulose ethers.
The sigma blade mixer ordered by a US client for CMC production has been successfully completed; following quality inspection, it is ready for shipment to the United States.
After assessing the client's specific requirements, engineers at Jiahe Shentong Machinery customized a 5L laboratory sigma blade mixer tailored to the client's production process.
1. Total capacity 5L,working capacity 1.5L-3.5L suitable for lab scale production.
2. Main motor 1.5kw with frequency inverter control speed.
3. Inner contact parts made by SS304 with mirror polish.
4. Double sigma shape blades.
5. Electrical heating system,the temperature can be set on control cabinet,and the temperature can reach 280℃.
6. Electrical tilting,discharge quickly and save labor.
7. Vacuum system provide vacuum -0.096Mpa.
8. With 60cm height platform.
1. As many raw materials used in CMC production are corrosive, the sigma blade mixer utilizes corrosion-resistant stainless steel 304 or 316L for parts in contact with the material, while the jacket is constructed from stainless steel 304 or carbon steel.
2. Sigma-shaped blades are recommended; they generate intense squeezing, folding, and shearing actions, making them ideal for the dispersion, degassing, and elastoplastic kneading processes required for CMC.
3. Equipping the mixer with a vacuum system is recommended to effectively remove air bubbles from the CMC.
4. Lab scale production use electrical heating system, mass production can consider electrical heating system or cycle thermal oil/steam in jacket.
5. Laboratory sigma blade mixer use manual or electrical tilting,large capacity use hydraulic tilting.
6. PLC control system can be choosen.
